Gall Bladder Operation
"Laparoscopic surgery" is applied within the framework of
general surgery while treating gall bladders and bile tract diseases. This method which is also
preferred in developed countries is defined as “gold standard”.
During these surgeries, the area
on which the surgery is going to be made is entered with laparoscopy which has
a thin video camera shaped as a
tube at the tip. The organ to be operated on is viewed with this device. Specialist surgeon watches the internal
organs of the patient and the area on which he will operate in detail by means
of a monitor thanks to this device. The
operation is conducted with controlling the device from outside.
It is easily understood with laparoscopy
examination whether there is a stone, tumor or another disorder inside the bile
tract or not. This method is used both for the diagnosis and the operation.
Ingrown Hair Operation
Ingrown hairs are generally treated with classical surgery method. These
operations are conducted with "flap" method in Akademi Hospital
General Surgery Unit.
‘‘Flap’’ method eliminates the drawbacks of classical methods. Recurrence
risk is reduced after flap treatment. Also surgery scars get small.
Flap is done by removing the cyst and closing the wound with flapping a
piece from the bottom. Flap method is successfully applied in our hospital.
Hernioplasty
It is aimed in hernioplasty to
solve the problem with a simple operation before the patient's condition develops.
However, whether the condition is at the beginning stage or developed stage,
hernia is treated with hernioplasty.
Hemorrhoid Operation
Hemorrhoid (Piles) operations in our hospital is conducted by laser. The
operation is conducted in the following stage according to the size of
hemorrhoid:
Muscle relaxing procedure is done in anal
fissure.
1st and
2nd degree hemorrhoids are coagulated with laser (laser coagulation).
3rd and 4th degree hemorrhoid piles are removed
with classical method.
The surgery takes 5 to 15 minutes under general anesthesia. An almost
non-existing pain is felt when compared to the pain in classical surgery. The
patients are discharged every day. A
burning feeling may occur during defecation between the third and tenth day after
the surgery. If constipation is treated recurrence
is not seen after the surgery.
The earlier the hemorrhoid
surgery is done the more comfortable the patient feels himself in
post-operative period.
Treatment with laser surgery provides these superiorities when compared
to the classical surgery:
The patient is discharged in 1 day averagely.
Time for the patient to return to normal life
gets shortened.
It provides certain results.
Surgery trace is as small as non-existent.
It is important for hemorrhoid, which adversely affects the life quality
since it is usually neglected, to be treated in the early period. That can only
be possible with the application of the person.
For this reason, in the cases
when you see a bleeding on your anus you should definitely be treated by a
specialist physician.
